June being the month of children and all things childhood related, we celebrated with a virtual Fun at Work get-together event dedicated to Childhood Memories.
We challenged our Nobel team members to look back at their time as children and share with colleagues the experience of childhood in their country.
Team members from all over the world joined in on Zoom and we reminisced together about childhood nostalgia, had fun playing games and discussed interesting topics. It’s incredible just how alike children are, no matter the culture or country they grow up in!
This 1 hour event was jam-packed with fun activities, including:
- Interactive icebreaker where we got to know each other better
- “Celebrities as children” game, where we had fun guessing internationally famous people from their childhood photos
- Watching fun videos related to childhood
- Open discussion on topics related to childhood:
- memories from our time growing up in our respective country
- raising children today versus when we used to be children ourselves
- communication between generations
- what we would say to our younger self
To further celebrate children’s month, we even had a contest on Instagram where Nobel team members shared pictures from their childhood. You can check the mini-versions of our team members at hashtag #NobelChildhoodMemories on Instagram.
Fun at Work activities like this bring us together as a team and we have the opportunity to know each other as human beings, learn about our colleagues’ cultures, backgrounds and life experiences. We are looking forward to our next month’s Fun at Work activity!
