In our latest online team activity, we tapped into the wisdom given by our work experience throughout the years and we shared with the team career advice that we would give to our younger selves.
This team exercise proved to be a good opportunity to learn from each other some useful tips that we can ourselves apply in our daily work while also reflecting on our own career journey and the lessons we learned along the way.
We are happy to share some of the career advice that Nobel team members provided from their own professional experience:
- “Be patient and learn as much as you can from your colleagues.”
- “It’s good to give your best, but don’t overstress yourself.”
- “Perfect is the enemy of progress. You’ll waste time chasing perfection, so make informed decisions, adjust as you go, and keep moving forward.”
- “Believe in the process! You’ll get there for sure.”
- “Back yourself, even when it feels risky. Stop waiting for someone to give you the green light. Whether it’s launching a project, sharing an idea, or going after a new opportunity—take the leap. You might succeed, or you might learn something valuable.”
It was exciting to get some insight from our colleagues regarding their career takeaways from previous work experience. We realized how much we grew since we first started our careers and how valuable it is to be able to apply the things that we were thought by our own exposure to daily work. Learning and developing as professional is, of course, an ongoing process, so we are eager to repeat this exercise after a while and discover new learning aspects.
