SEO Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan new content types and optimize content strategy for increased organic visibility across a wide range of verticals targeted.
• Work with internal teams to research and assign key content topics and optimize for maximum organic presence.
• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
• Monitor competitor’s performance, run content gap analysis and identify opportunities to increase share of voice and overall organic footprint.
• Map out site architecture and content URLs for new and existing content in order to ensure optimal search visibility and user experience.
• Work with design and development teams to ensure implementation of SEO best practices (including but not limited to page speed, schema, image weight, naming conventions, etc). Strategize ways to enhance website performance (website architecture, lead capture, CTR, CVR, etc) and streamline SEO processes.
• Audit and build internal linking on an ongoing basis to improve the search visibility for our main pages.
• Oversee and implement all aspects of technical SEO for the website.
• Identify growth and/or optimization opportunities throughout the site and associated properties (i.e. YouTube channel).
• Actively identify, develop and execute backlinking strategies.
• Track, analyze and report on overall website organic performance and SEO initiatives on a monthly (or as needed) basis.
• Assist with content creation and review process to better meet user intent and capture universal results.
• Advise content writers on SEO writing best practices and provide feedback on their articles.
• Occasionally write posts for the blog. Writing skills and professional writing samples are a must.
• Keep yourself up to date with current SEO trends and strategies.
• We are targeting primarily the US market, so you need to have demonstrating written & spoken English proficiency

Must Have:

• Exceptional English skills, able to create various types of content targeting the US market
• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 3 years hands-on SEO experience either at an agency or in-house
• Working knowledge on top SEO industry tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs and Google Search Console.
• Strong writing/editing skills, with prior experience creating content in English
• Experience with link-building for SEO
• Experience with keyword research / data mining tools and competitive analysis
• Technical SEO experience on areas such as crawling/indexing, sitemaps, robots.txt, etc.
• A self-starter with the willingness, and desire, to “roll up your sleeves” and get the job done
• Passion for creating amazing and valuable content
