One of the best things about working at Nobel is the range of backgrounds and points of view people bring to their jobs. This variety of perspectives – essential to innovation and a welcoming culture – can sometimes lead to unresolved conflicts that block cooperation, productivity, and engagement. To help our team members be better prepared to move beyond these potential impasses, we treated them to a special session of Assertiveness Skills workshop.
Our guest trainer Dr. Florian Koleci (psychiatrist with over 20 years of expertise in mental health and cognitive-behavioral therapy, licensed as a Trainer in Social and Community Psychiatry by the University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn, Austria) made us realize that you don’t have to be born assertive to act assertive.
We learned some practical and useful techniques to express ourselves and be more confident in our dialogues with others, so that we can make more successful choices that lead to solutions instead of disagreements.
This session was part of our Be Well and Excel program, where we offer resources and personalized tools for a successful life to our Nobel team members.
